Borgopetra is a system of houses, formed by charming apartments and houses, orts, wine presses and warehouses. The mansion was constructed in the early 1700s in the heart of the town of Mascalucia, on the southern slopes of Etna. Protected by the Superintendence of Fine Arts, the tourist structure has a dual vocation: it is a place to stay, enchanted by the microcosm of the village, and a starting point for exploring the surrounding areas, thanks to its strategic location at the foot of Etna and close to Catania, Taormina and its Isola Bella, and the Ionian coast with its wonders, such as the “Baia dei Ciclopi” and “Aci Castello”, the village of “Acitrezza”, and the baroque town of “Acireale”.

Antique, fascinating and furnished with family’s furnitures and trouvailles from all over the world, the houses of Borgopetra all have different sizes, from the large apartments to the suites: their set-up is pointed in the comfort, the breadth of the spaces, the quality of sleep and the rest, with a large attention for the details and for the welfare of the guests.
